6) Is a restricted stone wool volume too small for my crop?

Plants grown on stone wool develop a different form of root system, with more roots. In addition, the reduced volume of stone wool offers a number of major benefits. For example, it offers an opportunity for much more precise control; consequently, the water content or the level of nutrients can be adjusted in a trice. That in turn provides for an improved response to cultivation developments (such as the reduction of the EC or the potassium requirement prior to cutting roses). The use of substrate units greatly reduces the risks associated with a small cultivation volume.
